On 29 October a small team from the Craven Vale and Whitehawk Hill Allotments Society committee worked to improve the area under the shelter next to The Hub. The aim was to clear the area and lay gravel in order to make the space more accessible and usable. We were lucky with the weather and very pleased with the result.

The project was funded by two grants, one from St George’s Church for materials and the other from East Brighton Trust for the bench and materials to improve the area under the shelter. We would like to thank both organisations for their generosity.

The society look forward to using the shelter for future events; it will be really useful over the coming winter for Hub openings! We shall also be making further improvements and look forward to welcoming all plot holders to future events.
